General travel

Guardian Travel My favourite online newspaper site for travel features and news, covering an extensive range of destinations, budgets and types of travel.

i-escape Fantastic hotel booking site that offers comprehensive (and honest) information and reviews about each property; covers a range of budgets and destinations.

Mr & Mrs Smith Gorgeous, sophisticated hotels (including a fair few chic-on-the-cheap options) around the world; a great place to find that perfect honeymoon hotel.

Travel Intelligence Offers a good choice of excellent hotels to book online, and articles by leading travel writers to help you plan your travels.

Flight booking sites

Expedia Particularly good for hotel + flight packages, and a good place to start when looking at flight prices. Similar to Expedia, though prices can often differ a fair amount, so it’s worth checking both.
